William and Mary Highboy

This Seventeenth Century William and Mary Highboy arrived at the shop 
with the lower legs missing completely, a not uncommon circumstance 
in pieces of this kind.   After extensive research and much 
consultation with experts, a new set of turned trumpet legs and 
shaped stretcher was designed and fabricated to replace the missing 
ones. Much time was devoted to aging and distressing the new legs to 
simulate the appearance of a three hundred year old antique.
