Federal Inlaid Mahogany Sideboard
Circa 1795-1800 From Portsmouth,
New Hampshire
This piece came to the shop in extremely distressed condition, having
been stored in a barn for over half a century. It required extensive
restoration to the veneers and inlay as well as some structural repairs
and was finished in shellac and wax. Much of the original hardware was
missing and so was replaced with hardware appropriate to the period.
